Today's Huadu News: In response to the nation’s call for poverty alleviation through consumption, and in order to help poverty-stricken areas overcome poverty, and realize the nation's goal of achieving moderately prosperous society in all respects, the 2020 China Summit on Moderately Prosperous Society and Poverty Alleviation Through Consumption, themed on “Poverty Alleviation Through Consumption and the New E-commerce Era”, was held in Inno & Beauty Centre Livestream Industry Park in Huadu District on October 24. Held in the livestream e-commerce capital of China, the Summit was an important event in the last stage of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

　　The summit was jointly hosted by Xiaokang magazine and Mengniu Group, supported by China Association for Poverty Alleviation and Development, China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation, Guangdong Department of Agriculture, and the People's Government of Huadu District, and jointly organized by Guangdong Advertising Co., Ltd., IBC • GHM Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and Guangzhou Huihuang Cultural Communication Co., Ltd.

　　The Summit aimed to follow the spirit of the "Guiding Opinions on Proper implement of the Poverty Alleviation Through Consumption Strategy to Help Win the Fight against Poverty" issued by the General Office of the State Council in January 2019, and promoted livestream e-commerce platforms and the entire industry chain to cooperate with and empower each other to explore new growth drivers for e-commerce, and thereby help industrial upgrading and high-quality development at county level.

　　The Summit will have a number of keynote speeches and high-end dialogues; besides, there will be field researches, seminars and exchange activities on county-level business environment, and closed-door roundtable forums on county development. The summit implemented the "China Xiaokang Poverty Alleviation Star Program" initiated by Xiaokang magazine. The plan includes "one summit and one festival" and "two lists and two exhibitions", that is, the annual "China Summit on Moderately Prosperous Society and Poverty Alleviation Through Consumption", and "China Xiaokang Star Broadcast Festivalundefined the "Top 100 Valuable China Landmark Brands” and "Top 100 China's E-commerce Power Influencers", ; and "A Hundred Products from a Hundred Counties County Landmark Brands Exhibition", and “One Product from One Country E-commerce Beauty Brands Exhibition".

　　Xing Xiang, Mayor and Deputy Party Secretary of Huadu District, expressed warm congratulations on the successful opening of the Summit on behalf of the Huadu District Party Committee and District Government in her speech. She pointed out that year 2020 was the last year to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and also the last year of the project of achieving full success in fighting against poverty. It was of great significance to hold the Summit in such an important time. Huadu District attached great importance to poverty alleviation. Having integrated the fight against poverty into an overall plan along with the "double cycle” promotion and the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy, the District adopted a mode that combined government guidance, market operation, and social participation, and took various measures, such as holding on-site promotion meeting of national poverty alleviation through consumption program, and establishing poverty alleviation through consumption bases, to continuously help introduce agricultural products regions receiving assistance into market in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The poverty alleviation through consumption program of District was now in good condition where the work was carried out in all fronts with particular focuses. In the future, Huadu District would take the Summit as an opportunity to earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on poverty alleviation, explore new e-commerce growth drivers with greater determination and efforts to promote the cause of poverty alleviation through consumption and consolidate and improve the results of poverty alleviation, so as to make greater contributions to win decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

　　It is expected that the holding of the Summit in Huadu will help to attract and stimulate hundreds of livestream e-commerce startups in the District, which will bring to the District a total output value of more than ten billion yuan. Perfectly in line with Huadu District’s intention to build a "livestream e-commerce capital" , it will establish Huadu as a positive driving force and role model in the cause of building a well-off society in an all-round way, will further demonstrate the achievements of Huadu District in innovation, development and reform, and will help build a "Huadu Model" for high quality development, as an additional glorious contribution to the final stage of building China into a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
